Kia Harris Tattegrain is the Founder and Executive Director of the humanitarian nonprofit organization, Dare Humanity, that creates and delivers programs for self-sufficiency, community-driven development, wellness, education, and entrepreneurship in Haiti and California. She earned a Master of Nonprofit Administration from the University of San Francisco, and is a nonprofit educator and strategist specializing in communications, fundraising, and strategy, planning and development for startups and established organizations. Through her business, Eclectivate™ LLC, she is able to serve nonprofits throughout the nation through nonprofit consulting efforts and education while creating bridges between the nonprofit and corporate sector.
She obtained a Masters in Nonprofit Administration from the University of San Francisco. Prior to graduate school, she earned a B.S. in Health Science and a minor in Spanish from Cal State Dominguez Hills. Kia has developed skills in a variety of areas such as health, research and nonprofit efforts.
From her experience, she is able to act as a liaison for diverse populations in underserved communities. Kia has chosen to continue her studies and participate in work in the nonprofit sector under her organization: Dare Humanity. Dare Humanity is a nonprofit organization that aims to enhance the quality of humanity through project-based efforts, community-driven development, international aid and health education.
In addition, Kia enjoys empowering women through her beauty line, Jade Ami Beauty. She views head wraps as a way for women to be empowered to wear their ‘crowns’ well.
