Kia is an eclectic entrepreneur who has a love for God, people and cultures. She is the Founder and Executive Director of Dare Humanity, a nonprofit in Northern California that partners with communities in Haiti and California to create opportunities for self-sufficiency, entrepreneurship and wellness. Kia is also an artisan who enjoys writing, photography and creative collaboration. She is a speaker and considers herself to be an activator – activating individuals and organizations to think ahead, strategically and beyond what is seen. Kia is also a philanthropist who seeks to be a blessing to individuals and communities.
She obtained a Masters in Nonprofit Administration from the University of San Francisco. Prior to graduate school, she earned a B.S. in Health Science and a minor in Spanish from Cal State Dominguez Hills. Kia has developed skills in a variety of areas such as health, research and nonprofit efforts.
In addition, Kia is a promising future physician that will link her professional experience with medicine to provide international aid and health education to underserved communities on a global scale. Kia is an aspiring motivational speaker and world leader who hopes to empower individuals and communities to see and act on their potential.
From her experience, she is able to act as a liaison for diverse populations in underserved communities. Kia has chosen to continue her studies and participate in work in the nonprofit sector under her organization: Dare Humanity. Dare Humanity is a nonprofit organization that aims to enhance the quality of humanity through project-based efforts, community-driven development, international aid and health education.
